DON’T PANIC

What’s it all about?

So, why are we here then, eh? Well, as you will note in the first post on this blog, Lisa and I realised that everyone is being really scared and negative and stuff about this whole global recession thing (As if it even exists!):

(11:35:22 PM) Lisa: it feels like were going downhill either way
(11:35:41 PM) Lisa: i havent heard anyone say or write anything optimisitic
(11:35:57 PM) Lisa: a bit of “oh this will blow over”would be nice!
(11:36:02 PM) Conor P: Yeah!
(11:36:12 PM) Conor P: Let’s make an optimistic blog!
(11:36:16 PM) Lisa: yeah!!

So here we are now. Happily blogging away, and with a little bit of luck people will receive a bit of solace from the whole experience. I mean, we’re not saying that the recession isn’t real (well, not in this About page anyway. I’m sure we will in loads of other posts), we’re just saying that maybe people are taking it a tiny bit too seriously. Really, we’ve been through a hell of a lot worse things. Remember the famine? That sucked! And the first time Boyzone were on TV? Ahh! Terrified, I was. Look, it isn’t the end of the world, right? We’ll be fine!

So, go hug your neighbour and turn off your TV. TV is bad. Really. Tommy Tiernan put it very well.

Enjoy. The RSS feed is up in the corner, and the e-mail address is dontpanicitsallfake[at]gmail[dot]com. And the title of the blog is very obviously inspired by Douglas Adams’ Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
